Clay Play
Some time ago, I held weekly workshops for children twice each summer for several consecutive years.
Opening a kiln after the workshop for children is magical. There is a special connection between children and clay, or any art material. They create playfully and instinctively, without the limits that often develop as we grow older. Their pieces are usually so much more alive than those of adults. I believe that to create truly honest and genuine art, you need to leave all constraints behind and free yourself from all boundaries. Opening a kiln after a children’s workshop is magical.
On the photo: one of my favorite pieces by a very lively girl who had trouble sitting still. Working with clay, she found a moment of calm.
When workshops will be on again, I will let you know by email if you're subscribed and via Instagram, so follow me to be the first to know.
