  • From the first touch of wet porcelain to the final product, it takes 15-20 working days. The reason for the lengthy process is the careful crafting from piece to piece, slow drying, the number of treatments and firings, and the necessary slow cooling. Porcelain cannot withstand rapid cooling. Products with gold require more time, as gold needs a third firing with another slow cooling period. The process is time-consuming but results in durable, handmade unique pieces.

  • Items intended for food are glazed on the inside.
    This ensures they are non-porous and suitable for food use. Some items
    deliberately retain the look and texture of porcelain on the outside. This is
    stated in the online description of each item. If you do not prefer the matte texture, stick to items glazed on both sides (check product descriptions and photos). The matte surface is polished with a diamond pad, making it sufficiently smooth and not difficult to clean. In the future, the store will also offer stoneware items whose unglazed surfaces cannot be polished smooth and are deliberately left slightly rougher. Such items will be specially marked and are meant for people who appreciate and accept this type of ceramic.

  • Products from Urchic porcelain, except those with gold or graphics, can be washed in a dishwasher. Machine washing will not affect the colour, surface, or usability of the product. However, for your favourite ceramic pieces, I would recommend handwashing to minimize the risk of any chipped handles. Personally, I've been washing even those with gold and graphics in the machine for 5 years, and nothing adverse has happened to them.

    DO NOT USE porcelain products in the oven The firing temperature is not an issue, as porcelain can be fired up to 1300 °C. Cracking occurs due to rapid cooling of porcelain.

    In the future, the store will also offer stoneware items that can be used in the oven and will be specially marked.

  • All colours and glazes I use are suitable for contact with food. This is evidenced by safety data sheets provided by the suppliers of the materials used, which I keep in my documentation. The glazes I use have been appropriately and successfully tested in the NLZOH laboratory under record number: 2131b-20/73105-20/54455. Glazes and some pigments are harmful to health in their dry, dusty state, but through firing, they fuse into a glass-like, durable, and safe-to-use surface.

  • My pendants are made in porcelain. The material of hoops is hypoallergenic surgical steel, the bases of mini earrings are made of
    even cleaner, 100% non-allergic Titanium.

    To keep the gold details on your pieces shiny and bright for long, keep them away from abrasive materials or substances.

    To clean the pendants, just use warm mild soapy water, soft brush if needed and a soft cloth to dry off. Matte surfaces can be cleaned with sponges that have harder surfaces.

    Avoid using strong cleaners or chemicals, as they can damage the items surface.

    Though the pendants are strong, they can break if knocked onto hard surfaces. When broken, the pieces can have sharp edges so please take note to be careful when handling.

Orders

  • Each item is handmade from start to finish, making it unique. I strive to replicate the finishing touches in a way that the items resemble the photos in the online store as closely as possible, but I cannot guarantee complete similarity. This uniqueness is part of the charm and advantage of handmade products. I hope you appreciate the uniqueness of handmade items.

  • Of course! During the purchase process, mark that the recipient's address is different from the payer's address and fill in the correct address. The appropriate shipping cost will be calculated and the package will be sent to the recipient. A card with a note is free of charge. Add a desired note for recipient in the box under the question "Is this a gift?" during the purchase process.

    I can craft pieces to your specifications, ensuring unique pottery you won't find anywhere else. I'm excited to explore your ideas and create something beautiful for your home or public place.

    Custom pieces take 4-8 weeks, depending on size, complexity and number of items. Larger orders, like dinner sets, may take longer. We will discuss timelines at the start.

    I am open to new ideas, but I do not offer:

    1. Custom glazes due to the lengthy and costly process, as well as the need for a food-safe laboratory tests that I have made for the glazes I use.

    2. Writing names and customizations that doesn't fit my style or way of the process. Logotype stamps are possible.

    Commissioned work requires a 50% non-refundable deposit, with the balance due upon completion and before shipping. I'm happy to discuss details when we chat about your commission!.

  • The PRE-ORDER option allows you to purchase items that are currently out of stock but already designed. Please note that pre-order items have a production time of 15-20
    business days, as each piece is made to order before being shipped to your address. This timeline does not apply to items that are ready to ship (not marked as PRE-ORDER). If you order both a pre-order item and a ready-to-ship item, your entire order will be dispatched once the pre-order piece is completed.

  • Sold-out products are planned to be restocked soon, while PRE-ORDER items will be made
    specifically upon your request.

Shipping & Returns

  • I ship orders twice a week, on Tuesday and Friday. They will be dispatched within 3 working days of your order. Delivery within Slovenia takes 1-3 working days, most often 1 day. For international orders, delivery time depends on the country and is detailed in the Shipping / Zones Table (x=days), for example Austria (3) means 3 days. Please find the Table in the section Shipping Policy. These times are for informational purposes only, based on data from the courier service. Packages can sometimes take longer to be delivered, especially during the busy holiday seasons. Custom opened deliveries add extra time.

    Please, do not forget that production time is 15-20 working days for all pre-orders, which means I need to produce your piece before shipping it out to your address. The production time does not apply on the ready to ship items. If you order one pre-order piece and one ready made, we will send both when the pre-order is done.

  • After your order has been shipped with GLS, you will receive a confirmation e-mail with you tracking number. You can track the package using the GLS tracking linkprovided.

    For the countries of “The rest of the world”, you will receive the tracking number from Pošta Slovenije.

  • Our items are thoughtfully packaged using a double-box system with a soft recycled or recyclable filling in between. The interior box, adorned with our logo, adds a touch of charm, while the outer box provides secure transportation for your order. The filling material as well as the transportation box are recycled.

  • I offer free shipping for:

    - Zones 1, 2, 3, 4, 5: for orders over 150eur

    - Rest of the world: for orders over 250eur

  • In EU there is no customs tax. In countries that are not
    members of the EU (please see the table: County **), the recipient of the
    package pays the customs duty and tax according to the laws of their country.

  • Of course. It's free of charge. Select this option at checkout under delivery options. Please make sure to contact me regarding the pickup via ursula@urchic.si. Please come to pick up the order when we notify you that it is ready. It will be ready in max. 3 days.

    I offer two pick up locations: Žirovnica and Škofja Loka. Please see Section Contact & FAQ.

  • According to the Consumer Protection Act you can return the received order without justification. You must notify me of the contract withdrawal via email at ursula@urchic.si within 14 days of receiving the package. Please read carefully about the conditions and the return process in section returns Return & refund Policy.

    Exceptions: Please note, that you can not return custom orders or pre-orders, orders on sale and gift cards.

  • If the package is wet or damaged, which is extremely rare, please fill out a damage report with the courier representative at the time of delivery and notify me immediately at ursula@urchic.si. This way only the courier service will have recorded that the customer has received a damaged package and will process a damage claim.

  • In the case when theproduct and packaging are unopened and undamaged, you areeligiblefor a full refund.

    In the case when aproduct has been damaged, and the damage is not covered by your warranty, you arenot eligiblefor a refund.

  • When an order includes free shipping, only the cost of the return shipping is handled by the customer.
